[Pluging: User Access Manager] Cannot Edit Profile
-
I’ve searched all through this forum but cannot find an answer to this issue (if it exists, please let me know!). I’ve installed UAM, am running a Twenty Twelve child theme, and have four levels of membership access (public, subscriber, contributor, editor) plus admin role.
All but the Administrator account receive this error upon logging in: “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” (Automatically redirects upon login to the wp-admin/profile.php in the URL.)
I installed the Redirect After Login plugin to take all users but admins to the home page (my users are not tech-savvy, and would be confused at being taken immediately to the dashboard upon logging in, BUT I want them to still be able to utilize the “Edit My Profile” link at the top right of the page under their user name).
Still no luck. Kept taking users to the wp-admin/profile.php page with an error message.
I thought maybe the RAL plugin was conflicting with UAM, so I deactivated it. Nope. Still getting the error message. I deactivated UAM and login took users to the dashboard. I reactivated RAL (with UAM still deactivated) and it took them to the homepage, where the Edit My Profile link worked.
Reactivated UAM and it is back to taking them to the dashboard but only showing an error message regardless of whether RAL is active or not.
So it’s definitely something in UAM, yes? How do I fix this? I’m very new to all this and inexperienced, so I’d appreciate any help I could get.
Thank you!
