    Hello,

I recently started using Wordfence. After I allowed cache (I tried both basic and Falcon) I got incredibly high results in speed of web (did Google speed test) but my user experience dropped rapidly because it was showing my web just as a white page full of strange symbols. When I disabled the cache then it was everything ok again. I would really love to use the Wordfence cache, because it makes the site really fast.

Do you have an experience with this kind of problem? Could you help me to solve this please?

    Thank you!

    Marie

    Marie,

Yes, this usually means that your host has compression enabled, so your pages may be getting compressed twice, which can cause the unusual symbols.

If you have an option in your hosting company’s control panel to disable “compression”, “gzip”, or “deflate”, you can try turning that option off, and then see if the cache works again.

If you can’t find an option like that, your hosting company should be able to help from the same instructions above. You can tell them that the reason is that Wordfence’s Falcon cache saves compressed versions of pages in its cache, so they don’t have to be compressed again for each visitor who views the same page.

If that does not help, can you post a screenshot of the symbols you see? (In some cases, a conflict with another plugin may show different types of symbols.)
