How are the dates entered into Zotero? Are you using names for months, for instance? e.g. June 2014. Zotpress doesn’t yet support this date format. It uses the recommended date format from Zotero, which I believe is y m d, e.g. 1999-09-09. (Supporting a wider range of date formats is currently on the to-do list.)

If this isn’t it, I’ll have to take a closer look. Feel free to contact me: https://katieseaborn.com/contact

    Katie,

Thanks for getting back so quickly. At the moment dates in Zotero are months names and year, e.g. July 2014. I am not sure why – we captured the papers from their publication websites so this is a zotero default I guess?

What is particularly odd about this is that papers with the same Zotero date are not adjacent in the ZotPress listing (e.g. Pechey et al and Hall & Marteau are both July 2014 publication).

I will see if there is a way to update the dates to y-m-d. This makes sense!

    All the best

I believe that websites generate the dates as they see fit, not by Zotero’s standards. Hence these issues. ?? I hope to make Zotpress smarter as far as date interpretation goes soon.

    Katie,

That’s fair enough. Many thanks for the information on how to format dates to make them ZotPress friendly!

    All the best
