[Plugin: YD Recent Posts Widget] Usage As Widget

Using this plugin as a sidebar or widget doesn’t work.
Users that have posted this issue have been pointed to users website which has no solution posted.

I set the number of posts to one. Nine posts show up (like the WP default query).

The problem clear lies with the line $my_wp_query = new WP_Query( $wp_query_string );

I think this is more of a wordpress issue.
