[Plugin: xpost] crossposting meta fields

I am using this plugin to xpost articles together with a tip at the bottom of article. In order for this tip to appear also as a separately stored item, I was going to use the custom field option in WP. When I crosspost the article though, I noticed that the information from the custom fields does not get xposted with the rest of the article.
Do I do something wrong, if so, can someone please tell me the right procedure to achieve this or a method how this can be done.
