    Hi,

    I have a custom post type set up and I would like to include content from the custom post type in the Google News sitemap. Is there any way to do this?

  • Currently, the query that is done to list posts in the News Feed, is hardcoded in the feed template file feed-sitemap-news.php

    If you open it for editing, you will find the query parameters in an array starting on line 27… You can edit that to reflect your custom post type. But note that the changes will be overwritten upon the next plugin update.

    Thanks for your help. I changed the post type in the code and it worked.

    This should do for now (until we’re actually accepted in Google News) but may be interested in a custom version in the future.
