[Plugin: XML Google Maps] problem with Picasa – just not working!

Have followed all instructions and normally only seem to get this working if I use google maps and specifically “my maps”
Have tried this with Picasa and followed instructions, have a map which has a geotagged picture, right click on view in google earth and copy link location. I use this as the hyperlink in my post but it doesn’t work – I just get the link highlighted.
