[Plugin: Wysija Newsletters] Request error not JSON

    I try to drop in the WordPress post widget to create the newsletter and I get a Request error not JSON error. Then I click ok and try to find the article throught the search function, then I get the same error again

    Request error not JSON:

    What I do is I delete all content and try to import a wordpress post. It doesn’t work. On the right side of the page, there is always a message displayed “Saving newsletter…” Themes are not working they are not selectable. What a pity, I quite liked how it all worked till I tried to compose a newsletter!

    Hi guys, I’ve recently install version 2.1.4 and got the same problem. After reinstalling several times and try with version 1 posted before without solving my problem; I’ve realized that the plugin did create tables but didn’t take into account database prefixes, nor “wysija” neither “wp”, so I manually rename tables in database and that fixed all problems ??

    It’s the first time I hear of such issue.
    The one called : Request error not JSON is very common and could happen in many case scenario. For instance a conflicting plugin messing with the JSON response on an AJAX request.
    COuld you give us more info on your server?
    Unix/Windows ? MySQL version ? PHP version ?

    Hi Ben,
    I have tried to fix my problem with all sugestions above and no positive results has been achieved. When I try to subscribe I receive error
    textStatus:parsererror
    errorThrown:Invalid JSON:

    and then the main page content is displayed twice.
    Wysija seems to be perfect newsletter and I really would like to solve my problem. Could you please help me?
