[Plugin: WunderSlider Gallery] "The WunderSlider plugin has not been found" despite upload

  • I’d really love to use this plugin, however I’m having issue with doing just that.

    I’ve tried installing it both from the Plugin’s page search results and by downloading/uploading it manually. Both times resulted in the following error:
    “The WunderSlider plugin has not been found. You need to install or activate it.”

    The odd thing is, I’ve been able to activate it and change the settings as if it was functioning/found.

    Any ideas what’s causing this and how to fix?

    I should also mention that the plugin DOES show up when viewing the plugins via FTP.

    “WunderSlider Gallery is complaining about the WunderSlider plugin missing. Simply download or purchase WunderSlider using one of the links on top of the page https://www.itthinx.com/wunderslider/, unzip the downloaded file and you will find the WunderSlider plugin in the wordpress folder. Install and activate it (there are two plugins in that folder, as you have already installed WunderSlider Gallery, you only need to install one). The WunderSlider Gallery plugin handles the [gallery] shortcodes and uses the WunderSlider plugin to convert the standard WordPress galleries into slideshows.”

    Same problem here.
    I tried what you advised, Sincronista, and it’s still not working. The second plugin (personal) refuses to get activated once installed.

    I must say the FTP way a little complicated: the 2 plugins instead of one, than when you unzip, you find again zip files inside that, then within the folder wunderslider-personal, the folder (plugin?) is called simply wunderslider (without “personal”)… Difficult to be sure what to upload to the FTP…

    In brief, I’m fed up. I’ll wait that you update your plugin so that it can be installed through WP, like all plugins…

    Yeah it’s driving me nuts. When you activate the WunderSlider gallery plugin, it says you need to have WunderSlider activated, then when you look at the documentation, it says to configure to WordPress simply skip to the WordPress instructions and activate the WunderSlider gallery plugin. No idea how to get this working.

    I ran into the same problem and discovered that both the “WunderSlider” and the “WunderSlider Gallery” plugins must be activated for the slider to work properly.

    Pity about this. I’d love to use wunderslider but after you install and activate it it states that “The WunderSlider plugin has not been found. You need to install or activate it.”
    Trouble is it’s already activated.
    When you get this working I’ll try again. Maybe…
