Plugin writing excessive code to RSS feed

    I recently installed the plugin and subsequently found that our RSS feed grew from 240kb to 3.2mb. For every image in our posts, there was an unusually large amount of HTML added to the XML.

    The result was, that with our normal traffic attempting to download the large XML file, it caused our web servers (x2) to max out and crash our site.

    Is there a way to exclude any code related to the plugin from being written to the RSS feed?

    FYI – We use Mailchimp to deliver our email campaigns which contain this RSS feed.
