• Good Day,

I have tried out the WPtouch plugin free version on my site. I tried a static page and it works as expected. However I would like the theme of my mobile site version to be almost the same as my desktop site (color, font, css), I would like to ask if I can do this using Pro version. I needed to confirm first if this can be done before I purchase the Pro version or any other version of WPTouch.

By the way the site is using WP E-commerce for the products, and most of the pages use a page template for wordpress.

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

Yes, with WPtouch Pro you have full control of the style of your theme. You will be able to fully control the CSS, including the font, font color/size, background and much more using the options in the admin panel and/or with the custom CSS feature.

WPtouch Pro also supports custom page templates, which is possible with its Child Theme feature.

Hi, thanks for the fast reply.

Im considering to buy a developer’s license of WPtouch Pro, however I would like to clear out some things on my mind. Since the documentation and function reference is not available for the free license, I have the following things to consider before I purchase the developer’s license: (This is our site: https://www.wadebaleswinesociety.co.za/)

    – We use WP eCommerce as our shopping card platform, I would like to know what the options are with integration with WP eCommerce.

    – By any means, which shopping platform would you recommend integrating with WPtouch Pro, WP eCommerce or Woo Commerce? In terms of ease and support for integration, I’d be willing to sacrifice WP eCommerce if ever Woo Commerce is better.

    Thanks!

I forgot to ask about the mobile user agents. I understand there is only a few user agents assigned by default on the free version, how about the licensed one?

    Hi,

Adding official support for WP e-Commerce is something we’ve discussed, though at this time it will continue to be a work in progress. However, others are using WPtouch Pro and WP e-Commerce in combination without issue.

The current list of supported devices is Apple iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, Google Android mobile devices, Blackberry OS6 devices like the Torch and new Bold, most Samsung touch devices, and Palm Pre/Pixi.

You can add support for additional denies in WPtouch Pro by adding additional mobile user agents.
