Nice idea, I hope I can release it on this weekend or early next week. Thank you for the suggestion.

    wow!
    great response, thanks a lot.
I had found a couple of membership plugins that offer that functionality but there you have to become a member and pay “real” money to see certain content while your plugin allows to pay with a “tweet/like/g+” – exactly what I am looking for!

With version 1.2.0 you can now hide also content. I hope it works as you expect it.

this looks awesome. Sounds exactly like I was envisioning it ??

can I ask a few more questions here before I implement it?

I just don’t want to go live with my first try without being sure about a few things:

    1. I have other like/tweet/g+ scripts running on my site for different purposes will those not interfere with your plugin? Would you mind adding an option (checkbox) to your plugin along the lines: “Do not load the scripts, I have loaded them manually already” for each network, thus avoiding trouble?
    2. what exactly does this option do: “Keep Download Link after reload”
    3. in the FB settings, “Open Graph Settings” do I need to complete all 3 fields?

Almost ready to publish a first test, will do so after you answer these questions ??

oh, forgot about one very probable issue I will run into:

I have a theme I have customized myself and I am not very good with php so it might be a bit weird.

Basically, the homepage, always shows only post, which in my case is one picture.
I think your plugin works perfectly if I click on a post and view it in single view, but most people will see my posts on my homepage. So the question is will your plugin work if a visitor visits my home page and the latest post has hidden content? If a users clicks on LIKE will he like the right post (seeing that he is actually on my home page)?

See here to get a clearer understanding of what I am talking about: https://pacura.ru

If you need to see it I can share the code of my home page.

It should not interfere. What plugins are you using?

what exactly does this option do: “Keep Download Link after reload”

Then the download link is visible for the user when he reloaded the page or when he come back another time.

in the FB settings, “Open Graph Settings” do I need to complete all 3 fields?

no, only the fields you can complete

    For the last question:
At this time, if you have more than one wplike2get shortcode on one page (for example the homepage) than you like THIS page, and getting all download-links or content, for all elements on this page. You should use the more-tag for hiding the wplike2get shortcode content from those pages. If you hide the wplike2get shortcode from your homepage and archives, your user likes the right link for the posts and pages.

If you prefer using the button on the homepage, and have more than one post on the homepage, I must develop another version. I think it is better to implement a more flexible solution, that you can load more than one wplike2get button on one page, and than like the direct link for this content.

I working on a solution for that. But I think I can not deliver it in one or two days.

    – I was worried the plugin Digg Digg might interfere, as it also loads FB,G+,Twitter scripts

    – As to the last question, did you have a look at it here: https://pacura.ru ?
what I am planning to do is have a picture hidden. the reason is I am not allowed to mass-share it but I am allowed to share it within my social circle. so if someone likes it, he belongs to my social circle.
unfortunately I can’t use read more links.

check that link and imagine I want to hide the picture you see on the front page with your plugin.

as for having more posts on the home page and that option, I am not concerned about that.

And you did amazing work, finishing my feature request so quickly ??

    regarding:

(for example the homepage) than you like THIS page,

so if the home page displays one post, and the hide code of your plugin is within the content of that post, will a visitor like the post or the homepage?

will implement it live to test it in about 1h when I am home from work.

I can give you a quick and easy solution for especially your problem, but I want to develop it for all cases. For that, it need a little more time.

Now I have a solution for one post on the homepage, but it doesn’t work if you have more than one post on one page, for that, I don’t deploy it to the repository. I hope I give you a working solution at the end of the week.

Many thanks for all your input. It’s your fault that the plugin will be better ??

    sure, I can wait.
if you have a temp solution or a beta you want tested, you can use the contact form on my site to contact me…

    your support is much appreciated!

    I have also a question:
is it possible – after the like/tweet/+1 – to redirect to a specific site without klicking a link ?
Just instead of displaying content/a link – do a redirect to page xy.
The page where the redirect goes to is set in the admin-panel.

Is this function possible ? That would be great! Thanks for your great plugin.

It is a good feature. Maybe I release with the feature of Ovidiu. I can spend my time for the plugin at the middle of april.

@drumba: would you mind giving me a preview version? I’d really like to try this. I know its not the final solution but if you can share a beta or so, please email to: ovidiu |at| pacura |dot| ru

    Hey Ovidiu,

damn, I totally misunderstood the above thread. Next week I finally have time for new plugin features.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Thread Starter Ovidiu

    (@ovidiu)

?? no problem, let me quickly repeat it so we are sure to be on the same page:

your plugin only allowed for download links, not for hiding content. that other plugin where you found my comment, allowed to hide content but only via a pop-up.

You changed your plugin, great, it does what I need except that I also need it to work i.e. on my blog where the home page strictly displays only one post per page see: https://pacura.ru

thanks for your help so far.
