Yes john it is… I had WPBOOk posting to three profiles at one time. But its difficult to do because there is no option for subscribers to do this. Only admins…

Many of our subscribers end up using RSS Graffitti but an automated way they grant permission too is so much better!

Why on earth would your blog subscribers use WPBook?

If you post to a fan page and they “like” that page, they’ll see new content on the blog – why would they want the blog to post on their own walls?

I guess it’s a kind of philosophical discussion about the purpose of WPBook, but if all you want to do is push feeds into Facebook there are many simpler options.

Would subscribers want comments against their wall posts pulled into your WordPress blog?

Just trying to understand a use case I’d not imagined. Maybe there’s a need for two editions of WPBook for 2 different kinds of uses?

    Hey John,

Why ask why? People tend have a preference… And in the online world when a community wants something…especially on their own profile a wise admin gives them those tools.

If they want to read the post on their profiles which is going to have more value in the 6th degree of involving their friends what is the issue?

Fan pages have very little reach. The name of the game in this decade is syndication.

Of course I don’t want to pressure you to do what you don’t want you… I appreciate your hard work. However WPBOOK is just a few seconds away from being a enterprise level plugin people would pay for (support, etc).

lol, a lot of us have become dependent on this beautiful plugin. Love to see your hobby become a business brother.

Should probably have asked a different way: what use case are you trying to support?

Subscribers wanting the blog to post to the walls likely don’t want (or you don’t want) comments made against those personal walls all pulled back into your WordPress blog (or do they/you?)

I wonder if adding some kind of “subscribe to this blog via Facebook” option, which would send the users to the FB app and offer them the option of receiving blog posts as posts on their wall might be interesting.

But maybe RSS Graffiti already covers this case? What does it not do that makes you prefer WPBook, or is it just a matter of using both?

Hey john… No worries about your language. I’m an admin/tech too and I tend to be direct with all ‘forms’ of users ??

Honestly we’re becoming a site where authors, editors, and contributors will do more posting then the admins.

I’ve noticed two things… All members with editing power (not just admins) want their social network base to be notified when they publish a post. This I think should be expected. Problem is only admins can add permission. The other users cannot see the admin plugin option (setup) and truthfully I don’t want them to be able to play around with that. They should be able to add their permissions without seeing the nuts & bolts (administrative options we used to setup the plugin).

However many of the subscribers wouldn’t mind having the new posts published to their FB page. I think they like that for convenience more then just wanting to blanketly ‘support’. Depending on the fanpage is cool… but seeing it depends on the ‘time’ it was posted. If a person misses it in their stream then having the option for it to be posted to their wall is the next best thing. It will be there waiting for them! I think that importing comments from those profiles would be a really cool if possible.

I have many subscribers which gets posts via email, FB, Buzz, Tumblr, and twitter.

The more choice the better in a nutshell but I think we both could agree that Facebook is the most valuable social network and the most used. And this would be that one thing that elevates WPBOOK to enterprise level status ??
