Hey, I’m having problems with the linking on facebook.

I got the application set up and everything, and it imported everything in fine, but when I click on a blog title from “Recent Posts” (ie: Fake tatoos), it would link to https://apps.facebook.com/jonyoderblog/2010/01/fake-tatoos/ , and would just forward to a page with Recent Posts and the titles of the last 5 blog posts, and clicking those blog posts would essentially refresh the page (but change the url).

I have a few ideas of what might be causing it, but I still don’t know how to fix it:
    – I have permalinks set up
    – I have wordpress set up in a different directory (it’s in jonyoder.com/blog, but have it acting like it is in the main folder)

Right now I have the plugin disabled, so the links kinda work, but the plugin obviously can’t take the site out, but the correct post now displays with the rest of the site in an iframe. I can re-enable it on request if anyone wants to test it.

    Thanks!
    ~ Jon

So I guess this has to do with permalinks. I changed my permalinks option in wordpress from /date/name to /?###, and everything works great.

This is discussed here a bit, but without a solutions that would work while retaining the permalinks “/date/name” aka prettylinks.

I guess I didn’t look hard enough before posting.

My problem appears to be the result of not having the “Enable pages in Facebook (experimental)” checked in the options, which should have made snese to me since I have a page linked to the blog.

Do you have a “static” home page? Meaning does your site go to another page as the homepage before showing blog content?

Also, prettylinks should be the default and is what WPBook recommends.
