• Hey John & Brooke,

Its me again with another important question. lol… I think we talked about this briefly in another thread before but I’m unable to browse/traverse all the pages from my blog on the facebook fanpage tab.

I believe you said that this has something to do with my not using a regular blog theme like twenty ten. I wanted to know if there was a way to fix this… I’d really like to be bale to add pages to the menu and I know that many of us don’t us the the same blog themes.

In addition I did notice that when folks click ‘next’ to view the next blog pages they cannot see page two. Only a blank screen shows.

Take a quick look at https://facebook.com/hairwego to see what I mean.

    Anyone else having this dilemma?

It appears your linking to a subfolder like example.com/post where example.com is your main WP directory. Am I correct? If so that’s the problem, unfortunately the way WPBook currently interacts with Facebook there is no good way to recognize the /post folder inside the app. This is something we’d like to figure out and have fixed in a future release.

Hey Brooke, thanks for the answer. I’m thinking that the majority of corporate blogs or company blogs like mine are going to have a lot of customizations.

Can you clarify what your setup is?

If you set example.com/post/ as your Canvas Page URL inside Facebook, WPBook will not be able to access pages “above” example.com/post/

Why not set your Canvas Page URL to example.com directly?

@mykkal We would LOVE to have this as part of WPBook. The issue is on the Facebook side. If I remember right Facebook only allows you to access content INSIDE the Canvas URL. Facebook sees example.com/post as the allowed url so anything outside of that (ie example.com) gets blocked.
We are looking at other approaches John’s suggestion is the best, use the parent URL.

We also aways accepting patches so if you find a way to fix this let us know. I’ll look into it again if I find the time. RE: WPBook Pro, I don’t think there will ever be a paid or Pro version of WPBook. For me WPBook is a learning opportunity and a great project to be involved with but not a fulltime job. I can’t speak for John but I’ll say I know he’s an extremely busy man. With that being said if you ever feel so inclined you can Donate on the wpbook.net site.

I hope that gives you a more clear answer of the problem. ??
