• Love this plugin. Such a nice idea to reduce even more server load. Very useful for site like mine. I would love to see this continue to live on and become one of the essential plugins for WP (like SuperCache)

  • Ditto, with the PHP heavy widgets I use this turned out to be one of the best plugins I ever installed. =D

    Hi guys,

I’m very glad to see you like this plugin.

    Absolutely amazing!

This plug-in made my SQL queries count on my heavily modified blog drop from almost 40 queries to around 25 queries. And it’s terribly easy to use!

For example: I have a Category widget, and I set it to expire each week(!), or when a post or category is changed. This is terribly simple, and I even could set the expire period further since it will automatically expire anyway when I add a post or category (which are the only cases when you want to widget to change).

This surely is a must-have for any serious blogger who cares about his loading time and database stress.

Thank you so much for this great plug-in! ??

Fantastic plugin, Andrew. Thank you very much.

Installed in 2 minutes and operated exactly as per your instructions and screenshots. I also added the query stats code to our Light 1.0 theme as you recommended.

The home page query count reduced from 32 to 19.

Our traffic is not heavy (about 6,000 per day) but spikes caused load issues on our VS recently and we were forced to upgrade. This is my first attempt at caching in order to help future proof against heavier traffic spikes and I am really delighted with it. I especially like the way it embeds into each widget control so that you can selectively set the timeouts. Excellent design.

Just one reservation: I do not like having to set permissions on the /cache folder to 777
Is there any way it would work with permissions at 775 for example?

    Thanks,
    Dan

    where is the download?:
I hate hate hate the search function on wordpress, I have tried every combination I can think of and still get 45 pages of plugins.

hope someone here has the link
    thnx

Is this useful for plain TEXT widgets?

Yes, definitely. Even if your text widget contains just text (with or without some trivial HTML markup) it still whacks out the database request for that text, and instead pulls a plain file up, which is faster.
