[Plugin: WP User Frontend] the form doesn't show on the page I set it

I have activated the plugin on the offline(localhost) and online version of a website I am developing. On the offline version I can’t really use it to test it because the permalink structure it requires simply doesn’t work.
On the online version the page that is supposed to show the form (with the shortcode set and all) is empty.
