[Plugin: WP UI – Tabs, Accordions, Sliders] Color of tabs

I would like to be able to have different color tabs (either the background or the text). I tried to change these in the css of the style I am using but they seem to get overwritten. Any suggestions on how I might be able to have different color tabs?
