The short answer is yes, I could make that happen. However, the long answer is that it would be a royal pain in the butt, both for me and for users of the plugin. Essentially, every individual account would have to be registered as a separate application with Twitter. Juggling all of this different accounts is something I haven’t wanted to mess with.

How does TweetonPost do it without registering separate applications?

I have used this plugin and I know the registration process is slightly different.

TweetonPost uses the author’s private key to register the application, only requiring users to register as part of the group represented by the application. I’m not willing to do this for two reasons: 1) It leaves the application vulnerable to being mass disabled by Twitter because of a few abusive users and 2) I don’t want to distribute my private key in an open source application.

If you want to promote the idea of adding multi-user support to the plugin, feel free to add a pledge with that feature at https://fundry.com/project/10-wp-to-twitter

    Joe,

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Thanks for the explanation and your work. I will definitely ad a pledge.

    Cheers.
