• Hey.

I have installed Wp-time machine and configured it with my Dropbox id and password and folder. But it doesn’t send any backup file automatically. Even when I pressed Generate button, it shows success but still I don’t see any file in my Dropbox folder.

    Any help someone please?

my settings on the cron job is

    0 0 * * * curl “https://easyweb.my/wp-content/plugins/wp-time-machine/cron.php?generate=1”

still doesnt create a back up on my dropbox folder.

    thanks,

    John

    Same problem!

I created a folder in Dropbox and specified it, I’m seeing the same issue as the others, ie. no files are uploaded.

    same here

I am experiencing the same problem, but only on a WordPress install hosted at Dreamhost. I use wp Time Machine on two other WordPress sites that are hosted at Bluehost without any issues whatsoever. I have tried both Dropbox and FTP uploads without success. The only difference I can tell from the logs is a slightly older version of curl installed at Dreamhost.

Here’s a snippet of my last log file:

WP TimeMachine was working great with WordPress until a couple of weeks ago. Now it’s not backing up even though it says it is.

I noticed that no one was getting any responses so I went back and tried something. I deactivated most of my plugins and tried again. TimeMachine worked this time and it did backup my site.

    Thanks for the idea.

However, I deactivated all of my plugins except wp Time Machine and the back up still seems to choke on the add: wp-content/wptouch-data call. I guess the next thing to try is to remove that directory and see if it works. The odd thing is that the wp-content/wptouch-data directory and its subdirectories are completely empty.

/wp-content/ directory must be chmod 777

I changed the permissions on the /wp-content/ directory, but it didn’t make any difference. The log still indicates that backup stops at the /wp-content/wptouch-data/ directory.

I’m fairly convinced that permissions are not the problem … the /wp-content/ directories on my two installs that are working with wp Time Machine have permissions set to 755.

I have installed wp Super Cache after wp Time Machine, appeared a conflict between plugins. and now I must change the permissions each time when I need to backup. sad. hope, you’ll find the solution
