I have a web page that is a sub page to those listed in the main menu. Meaning that there is a dropdown from the main menu “About Us” to “Location”, “Schedule and Fees”, “Events”, etc. I have created two tables for the Schedule and Fees page. When I go to that page, the dropdowns in the Main menu bar stop working. The main links that are on the Main menu work fine, but the dropdowns do not. When I remove the tables from the page, it all works again. I tried making a very simple table to see if I had done something wrong in my tables, but the dropdowns still not work when I am on the Schedule and Fees page. My theme is “Glide” which I got from themeforest.com. All the other wigits I have used work fine with this theme. It was doing this before I updated to 3.3.2 a couple of days ago, too.
Clearly, I’m a newbie. Any ideas for how to fix this? I really love the table wigit and want to use it.

  • Hi,

can you please post the link to the page where this problem happens? Otherwise it’s impossible for me to find out what could be wrong.

    Thanks,
    Tobias

    It’s under a temporary URL
    https://66.147.244.101/~crossfy2/
You’ll notice the slider doesn’t work either, but I think that’s a problem with the tilde in the name.
    Thanks
    Amy

    Hi Amy,

the error on the menus is indeed related to WP-Table Reloaded, and more specificially to the usage of the DataTables JavaScript library in it.
If you uncheck the “Use JavaScript library” checkbox on your table’s “Edit” screen in WP-Table Reloaded, the problem should disappear.

About that slider: That is actually working, it’s just that the images are not showing, because they can not be loaded. This might be the result of the theme using the “TimThumb” script, which recently contained a severe security bug, and due to that might be blocked by your webhost company, in the server configuration.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias:
Hurray! It works! Thanks so very much. That’s the best explanation I’ve heard so far for the slider issue, and I’m so pleased that the table issue is something I can fix myself. I will talk to the webhost about the TimThumb issue.
    Thanks again,
    Amy

    Hi,

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
