I noticed today that the search field for the table is missing in Firefox 3.6.12, but it still renders in IE. This is a very recent problem, it’s always rendered in Firefox before.

Also, a feature suggestion. Take all of the Data Manipulation stuff, and move it above the table instead of below it. Or have it in both locations. I have around 200 rows in my table and when I’m working with it, every time I add a new row, or sort the table, or press Update Changes, the page refreshes and lands all the way back at the top. Then I have to scroll aaalllll the way back down to the bottom to get to the controls again.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    thanks for your questions.

Unfortunately, I don’t know about the search field. This likely is a JavaScript problem with which I would refer you to the developer of the DataTables library (which offers the search and the sorting), at https://www.datatables.net/forums.

Regarding your suggestion: I can understand that is quite a hassle to scroll down all the way in large tables. But imagine if I put the data manipulation above the content fields: Then everybody will need to scroll to actually reach his content, which also is not a real good solution. So for now, the layout will stay as it is. Thanks for your understanding.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
