    Hi,

    this seems to be an issue with the DataTables JavaScript library (which offers the search function), as I have heard similar issues before.

    Unfortunately, there’s nothing I can do, as I don’t know the details of the library. Sorry ??
    Instead, I’d ask you to post your question/bug report in the DataTables forums at https://www.datatables.net/forums.

    Thank you. I’ve posted to the forum you suggested and, meanwhile, posted instructions to search by typing in only the first 4 characters (clumsy, but it should work).
