    thanks for your post.

    Yes, these problems are strongly connected: The DataTables JavaScript library will stop working, if it can not load the language file (e.g. due to a 404 error).
    As the plugin’s readme.txt file also is not available, I assume that your webhost company is blocking access to .txt files in the WordPress “plugins” directors (or even entirely).
    You will need to contact them and ask them to stop doing that.
