• Tobias,

I wonder if there’s a way to do this. If not, please consider it a feature request. ??

I have a fairly large table. I’ve got the whole thing loading on one page, and a single row (with headline) of the table loaded on tag pages related to that row (using the extensions filter).

On the smaller versions of the table, there are a couple of columns that aren’t really needed, as the info is duplicated on the tag page itself. Is it possible to hide particular columns using a variable in the short code (so that it would still show in the main version of the table)?

    Hi,

    thanks for your question.

Yes, this is easily possible with the “hide_columns” Shortcode parameter. Please take a look at the section “The Shortcode [table id=N /]” in the plugin documenation at https://tobias.baethge.com/wordpress-plugins/wp-table-reloaded-english/documentation/, where you will find this explained.

(You’ll have to deactivate the “Cache Table Output” feature for the large table, on its “Edit” screen. No, hold on, you likely did that already for the filtering extension.)

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

Oooo, that works pretty well! Thanks!

Is there any way to turn off the search box, the “Show X entries” pulldown, and the “Showing 1 of X entries” text? don’t really need them on a table with two or three rows.

    Hi,

sure, that’s possible through Shortcodes parameters as well. They are explained in the same section of the documentation. The relevant ones start with “datatables_” in the name.
Those then basically override the settings from the “Edit” screen.

    Regards,
    Tobias
