• Hi Tobias,
I have just noticed that when using IE9 in the Admin area the Edit Table contents has a display problem. The table cells are condensing to barely 3 characters wide.

I know this is a problem you have had with earlier versions of Internet Explorer, but thought it was worth highlighting that the problem has re-occurred with IE9.

    Firefox and Chrome are unaffected.

    Martin.

    Hi Martin,

    thanks for your post.

You are right, this problem seems to have reappeared with IE9.

Unfortunately, I did not yet have the time to try IE9 on my development machine, so I don’t know the exact reason.
Until there’s a fix available, my advise is to use a different browser.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

Any progress with this issue? I don’t use IE to admin WordPress (or at all for that matter) but some of my clients do and I’m starting to get support calls. Must be a CSS thing. Trying to figure it out myself.

    Hi,

yes, this is a CSS issue and I have already tracked it down to the “check-column” CSS class, that the last row of the table (the table with the text fields, that is) gets.
However, I have no clue why IE9 shows it like this, while Firefox and Chrome don’t…

Unfortunately, I’m pretty busy at the moment, so a new version with a fix likely won’t come out until WP 3.2 is released ?? Sorry about that.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Thanks for the fast reply Tobias. Knowing where the issue comes from I’ll try to figure out how to fix it and will share with you if I do.

    Regards,
    Stéphane
