• I’ve installed a WordPress + BuddyPress, logged users only. Can’t share the link for now but it’s meant to be a social network where people will post messages, comment, upload pictures, etc, content in general.

Been playing with Super Cache for a while but can’t manage to fix one problem. Every time i post a message or comment (BuddyPress post/comment) i will see it but if i refresh the page, i will not see it until the cache expiration time is due and home (in this case) is renewed.

Based on what i’ve seen, i need advice to either fix this somehow or know if it’s actually worth using this kind of cache plugin. My goal is to speed up the general performance of the site. Image, content load, etc.

  • Are all users on the site logged in? You won’t get much use out of a page caching plugin. You should use an object cache instead. That will cache database queries and other data on your site. A full page caching plugin will generate individual pages for each user that can’t be shared.

Hi Donncha and thanks for replying!

Yes, all users on the site logged in. Otherwise you will see a custom login page. I figured that was the case but wanted to check first. Will take a look at options for object cache or anything else that can help speed up site.
