[Plugin: WP Super Cache] Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING

Do you know how to edit php files? Can you just tell us what you have around line 45 – 50 in wp-config.php in your site root?

Uninstalling won’t help if wp-config.php became corrupted.

Thank you for the response, jrevillini… Out of desperation because the website was supposed to be launching, I renamed wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php and reentered some of the required information. That allowed me to deactivate and delete wp-super-cache and restore the website to normal. It’s supposedly a must have for WP websites, but I’m now afraid to reinstall it, since a few days ago, another plugin had practically destroyed the website causing the loss of 7 days of work.

I wonder if there’s a WP optimization service that one can hire.

1) set up a mirror site where you can test first; the half hour you lose setting it up will be repaid 10x over next time a plugin bricks your site.

2) get WordPress Database Backup and install it on the production site and set it to send your database to you daily or more often. Now you will never lose more than 1 day of work.

3) there are plugins to zip your site files and store them elsewhere daily, but I haven’t found a good one for windows servers yet. But if you’re on Linux, explore these.
