• Hello everyone. I use a plugin called WP-United to link my phpbb and WordPress installations. As a result, it creates a virtual folder:

    https://urbanphilosophy.net/about/ is actually https://urbanphilosophy.net/index.php/about/

WP-Super-Cache isn’t caching anything, and I notice that it tells me to edit my .htaccess but notes the incorrect location. It is thinking that .htaccess is located it <serverstuff>/index.php/.htaccess, when in actuality .htacess is located at <serverstuff>/.htaccess

Does anybody have any idea how I can fix this? Perhaps I can force the correct path somehow?

  • Just put the rewrite rules in the correct directory. Hopefully that will work, or just use it half-on mode.

Well that’s the thing, it is in effect impossible for me to put the rewrite rules in the “correct” directory as it is a virtual one. I have tried putting in the .htaccess file that I have, but to no avail. When I’ve tried turning on half-on mode, no pages get cached after an hour of waiting….

I’m having this same problem on my wordpress install as well. Is there any way to get around this conflict between WP Super Cache and WP United?

Sorry for the double, but Mitch I found the solution. In the settings options for: “The address you will use to access WordPress from now on” on the WP-UNITED tab in your phpbb ACP remove the index.php at the end. So assuming your blog is at the root it would be https://www.yourdomain.com/ instead of https://www.yourdomain.com/index.php
