[Plugin: WP Super Cache] No Adverts for Friends And Wp Super Cache Blank Pages

I am trying to use the “No Adverts for Friends” With “Wp Super Cache”
I tried to follow the instructions at https://ocaoimh.ie/no-adverts-for-friends/

In The instructions it says

If you use WP-Cache copy wp-cache-phase1.php into plugins/wp-cache/ overwriting the file already there (make a backup first!)

But When I do that the I get blank pages every where. And I have to rename the wp cache plugin to disable it.
