Sorry about this but I noticed massive server load on my hosting recently and thought it might be time to update to a dedicated server. However, I have never had a problem until the last few days really with my host.

I thought I would try the simple options first like speeding up my wordpress installation and php calls etc. WP-Supercache is something I wanted to try for ages so I installed it and ran it last night. Everything seems fine but I am not sure that it is actually working or not.

I seem to get the generated message at the bottom of my pages every time even though my stats in the wordpress admin say pages are being cached.

Can someone take a look at my site https://www.fashionbeans.com and let me know if they think a cache page is being served or just being generated every time?

I Should note I am running it in full on mode with no compression. Expiry time is standard 3600 with clear up times of 10mins. Everytime I reload the homepage (obviously popular page) it shows that it was dynamically generated that minute and I would thought for an already cached page this would be sometime in the past?

This could really help me save costs if it works, or on the otherhand force me to upgrade my hosting so any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Ben

Sorry this isn’t a bump just some more info.

I realised it hadn’t written to my root htaccess file properly so I pasted in the correct code from the plugin page and it seems to work for my homepage on https://www.fashionbeans.com

However it doessn’t work for any posts or category pages and I know this now because it doesn’t have the <!– super-cache –> comment and the page generation time is always real time.

Any help would be appreciated? Maybe I need to deactivate and reactivate? Or clear the cache? Im confused but would love to get it working properly because my homepage is super fast now!

Sorry about this – amazing what a little tweaking will do for you! Basically I still had the wordpress htaccess stuff above my superache code so moved it below and voila work AMAZING!

Thanks for a great plugin, if I don’t have to update my web hosting now I will donate the extra cost for a month to you for being a legend!
