• I made a page called “blank-page” just to do some testing with my theme. That’s all, just created the page. This morning I discovered that blank-page was now my home page AND my blog page.

Could not figure out what was going on, and was afraid perhaps I’d been hacked, so I called tech support at hostgator. They discovered it was a conflict between Redirection and WP Super Cache plugins. The redirect to blank-page was NOT set in Redirection, or in the .htaccess file, and even after deleting the super cache and clearing the browser cache did not help. Not sure what hostgator tech support did to fix it but it work.

But then I decided to break it again. :-/ I saw that there was an upgrade available for Redirection, so I reactivated it, upgraded and tried again. Same problem, and clearing both caches did not fix it, even after I’d deleted the Redirection plugin. I had to have hostgator fix it again.

Obviously Redirection is the real culprit here, but the tech support did say there was a conflict…just wanted to pass that info on here in case anyone encounters a similar problem.
