    Hey.

I have installed, configured and then deleted this plugin according to the instructions, but somehow my website seems to use a cached version created hours before I uninstalled the plugin. It was causing some headache in my network install so I jumped over to Quick Cache. Regardless, I followed the instructions very carefully and this is not my first time uninstalling this either. Somehow this time the cached file it still commented in my source file.

Anyone know how I can remove this once and for all? It totally breaks my website. Soo frustrated.

Any tip is very much appreciated!

Load up your wp-config.php and check if the text WP_CACHE is in there. If it is then delete that line (make sure you don’t upset the <?php and ?> tags though).

Even if you’ve done this before, humour me and look again ??

I checked the wp-config one more time, no WP_CACHE there. The tags are in order.

Can I possibly send you login for a ftp account for you to take a look behind the scenes? Or if you have other suggestions, I am all ears. The least I want to do is give up and have a fresh install.

    Thank you for the support!

Fixed it! Hold on to your hat, there was an index.html in your root directory. I renamed it to index2.html and the supercache comment disappeared. Do you remember creating that?

Not at all. I was actually looking into it but figured it wouldn’t matter because it was not connected to super cache. Well, what do you know!

Why and what is that do you think?

Wow, hats off to you, sir! THANK YOU.
