[Plugin: WP Super Cache] cached page link behaves differently for category page

  • I have a weird problem.. Goto my home page, https://mybabyphotos.net

    There is a tab at the top called scrapbooking.. behind this tab is https://mybabyphotos.net/category/scrapbooking This is a category page called scrapbooking (standard wordpress stuff). When I click, it goes really slow and doesn’t appear to be cached.

    If I click on the same link from the sidebar under categories (seventh item on list), the page pops right up as if it is cached.

    Why different behavior for same link from two different places on my page?

    Very weird.. The problem went away when I removed a plug-in called Popularity Contest 1.4 .. This plugin seemed to slow down all PHP related pages. Maybe I set it up wrong but I decided the safest bet was to remove the plug in altogether.. Ever since I removed it, my site responds quickly and super cache is working.

    That’s odd. Maybe just use Google Analytics instead?
