i’ve installed the plugin and no problems with that. however, i’m looking the daily numbers of visitors and it looks very high to me? or is my new front page that good? lol.

seriously, is this plugin completely accurate? i’m hoping it is, but would like some feedback regarding this topic.

  • I have to same feeling, that is why I can to look here. Compared to other statistics I run it looks like a factor 3 too much. Probably it counts your own visits every time you look at a page or so.

Agreed. It seems that my visitor count is very high.

    same here.
assumption that it counts every own visit is right, even if referring from dashboard to frontpage.

however, i have the feeling that there is a counter on time basis, my visits per day seem to high, too.

is there any information about this?

Add 1 more. Installed wp-statistics yesterday.

My blog is relatively new so it may be easier to see the discrepancies.

    Per wp-Statistics:

    • 150 visitors today
    • 5 entries (IP addresses) in the “stats log” (under statistics)

    Per JetPack:

    • 1 visitor today

I’m inclined to trust the JetPack numbers until proven otherwise.

    That’s all i needed to know…

I agree with most of the others, the wp-statistics seem to be completely wrong. I installed it yesterday on my blog (www.djiihaa.com), and set the counter to start at 106.000 (the number of visits according to StatCounter, which I have used for 3 years). After some few hours the WP-statistics reported many thousand visitors/pageloads, while the old StatCounter registered only 20-30 pageloads (which Im sure is far more accurate). I have no idea whats wrong, hopefully the author/admin can give us an explanation?
