I uploaded some images using Nextgen and also installed Smush.it and I can see if it is “smushed” or not. I tried uploading a new pic to see if it would smush it and it said it did. But how do I know if it truly did? I mean sure, it said it did it’s job, but where does it show that it really did? Any thoughts or comments?

    Hi @sglambroni09 & @eldenroot

Does NextGen add images to the media library?

Percentages and bytes saved are shown next on the status page in the latest version 1.6.5.1 could you both please try that?

I think that it doesnt add images to the gallery…. there is a special folder for it, there are the pictures saved… I can post you more info (path, directory, …)

@eldenroot If you could post path information that would be great.

If there is enough support for this feature then the developer may consider adding this in a future release once the main bugs have been fixed ??

    wp-content/gallery/

but you can set your own custom path in Nextgen gallery

I think it could be very useful if you can choise in smush.it your own path and click on proces

    Hi @eldenroot

Thanks for confirming that. I’ve mentioned this to the lead developer, as always if there is enough support he’ll consider adding this in a future release.

However at the moment he’s focusing on ironing out all the bugs in the code we inherited ??

Hi, this would be a great feature to have the ability to smush images uploaded via nextgen.
I tried copying the gallery folder to uploads but it still doesn’t smush them, the images don’t show in the media library either.

    Hi @mcfester,

Thanks for your input on this, much appreciated ?? I’m afraid currently it won’t but we’ll consider this for future development.

    Kind Regards
    Jack.
