• Please, add a feature to Smush all the existent images, and/or re-smush, with a single click.

It does not save our time by selecting one by one to smush it.

It could also help who cannot smush newly uploaded images, so from time to time, they can smush everything.

It should work just like “Optimize DB”, from time to time, we go there and optimize.

    Other Feature Request

Smush theme images – By one click, we smush them all.

We should be able to smush the whole folder in the server. We should smush everything, even our dogs, wifes, mothers…

    This plugin rocks!

  • Seconded! I’ve also recently discovered WP Smush.it and would love the ability to smush my theme images.

You didn’t use search, there is a topic already with solution.

This topic is not (and never was) marked as “in need of support”, so, resolved or not resolved is not the point, as solution is not need.

This is just a two feature request (or it could be taken as a suggestion) to be built into this fantastic plugin.

By one click, we smush them all:
    -Smush all the existent images
    -Smush theme images

    It would be great!

However, your solution is fine, and I’m using it in the lack of anything else. Thanks!

    Awesome.

I’m hesitant to add the bulk feature do to Yahoo!’s terms 3 a):

You will not use the service in a manner that exceeds reasonable request volume, constitutes excessive or abusive usage, as determined by Yahoo! in its sole discretion.

It seems like a great way to get banned. Even their API is no longer officially supported, so the whole premise of the plugin is a bit shaky as is.

That said, the shell script in the previously linked thread does work well.

I’d started once on the theme image smushing; I’ll look into digging out that code.
