[Plugin: WP SlimStat] Seeing user I don't recognize in slimstat dashboard

    Recently installed slimstat and am now seeing a user named ‘jenthecdnp’ listed. I am the only user in WP and so am not sure why a named user would be listed here?
    Also, is there anyway to see a matching of IP to bots? I was getting hammered by Yandexbot and blocked its IP but am trying to now block MJ12 too.

    Hi there,

    those “users” are also your visitors, tracked via a cookie set by WordPress for your commenters. It doesn’t have to be a “registered” user ??

    As for the bots, just set a filter for browser = MJ12 and then see all the IP addresses associated to it in the Visitors tab.

    A vote for my plugin would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Camu – for the clarification and the plugin! This thing is addictive…I can’t help but use the spy mode…a lot! Off to rate it. I’ve already recommended it to a number of people.

    Thank you! I know, the spy thingy is really addictive, and I guess is what is making my plugin so popular lately ?? The “good” news is that I’m not done adding new features, and I’m open to users’ feedback, so if you have something you’d like to add, just let me know!

    Thought of one more – the ability to label or associate IP addresses with known users. Not sure if the IP is captures when comments are placed.

    Well, that’s already in there. If you filter by user name, you will see all his/her IP’s in the Visitors tab ??
