So by the deafening silence, I take it that no one else is having this issue? I just peeked again at the wpmayor blog and still MANY of the posts listed under ‘yesterday’ are from today…and ZERO posts are under the ‘today’ category. Would love some feedback from some of you out there…

    Hey Army,

Wish I could help, but I’m not using this feature…I’ve actually commented out the time breakdown into one solid feed. Could it have something to do with time zone settings in wordpress? Or on the server? To be honest I don’t know which this plugin pulls from, but if there is a time difference between the two, that might account for the lag? Because looking at the code it seems pretty straight forward.

Just a thought, hope it helps.
    best,

Thanks for the response Jenny. Yeah, the time issue must be a lag from where the plugin grabs it from. Hopefully this can be adjusted because I have no idea how to do it.

Does your ‘one solid feed’ include ALL posts? Or is there a limit to the number of them? I included the today and yesterday arrays only (as per one of your other posts in a different thread) but what happens is today’s feeds become yesterday’s and yesterday’s feeds drop off and aren’t displayed.

Maybe there’s a way to include 3 days?

    Heya,

I modified the plugin so that there is no time breakdown at all. I’ve added a variable to my URLs to exclude certain categories, and conceived a variable “limit” to control the number of posts that appear. In my particular case I’m not concerned with the number of days shown, though I am exploring ways to paginate the feed so that I can increase the number without weighing down individual pages.

Someone else has raised the question of limiting the feed not by number of posts, but by number of days, which I find very interesting. That thread is here. I’m pondering ways to achieve this…

You can see my usage in action here:
    https://www.yooko.fr (right sidebar)
    and here

The code for my modified version of the plugin can be found here (though I’ve since modified the date string to include UTF-8 compatibility).

    cheers,
