Can anyone recommend a column plugin that works properly? Is tinyMCE Advanced the way to go? Just thought one of the simple markup solutions would work and don’t want to try five more in frustration.
    HELP!

I just installed this plugin and had the same issue.
i have just removed it and it is not affecting my layout, even though the author says to include it otherwise it may disrupt the layout.

Try leaving it off and see what happens

you only need to put the [end_columns] tag at the end if you want to and add more text to your page using a different column layout. It basically reverts to full width (1 column) but you can also set up new column widths.

otherwise it works fine without it.

It can work without [end_columns], but when I used two rows of three columns it didn’t work in IE: the 4 columns were lined in the same row.

I was about to begin experimenting with CSS but I found that to make [end_columns] invisible, you can just use the span tag:

    <span>[end_columns]</span>
