[Plugin: WP Plugin Stats] Chart works fine but stat count just shows a plus image

It used to work so that it would show the download count above the chart however now it just shows a plus image in it place.

I have checked for allow_url_fopen and that is on and working fine. So I’m guessing it is because the URI wp-content/plugins/wp-plugin-stats/wp-plugin-stats-js.php cannot be found.
