    hi there,

thanks for this plug in – we had it working great on a multisite install but something went wrong maybe 6 months ago.

One of the symptoms seemed to be very high site ids and probably duplication.
The site ids were up to 14000 odd – when there are only 100 sites on the wp network.

So i came back and reinstalled piwik on a new database (as the high number of sites was overloading it) and then upgraded to the latest wp-piwik and network deactiviated and reactivated and added the a new auth code for the new piwik install.

The immediate problem was that when trying to access stats from the dashboard it still remembered the old site ids. I guess this info is still in the database somewhere.

So i’m open to suggestions about to best proceed here. It would be great to get some help on this, let me know if there is more info I need to give.

How to delete all WP-Piwik settings is described here:

First deactivate WP-Piwik, follow the instructions to delete WP-Piwik’s settings and at least reactivate WP-Piwik.

    Thanks for the reply!

I had a look at that post and have a couple of questions which I will also pose to the other tech running this network install as they know more about mysql than me I am sure.

Deleting the setting from wp_options & wp_sitemeta would seem to be achievable.
However to ‘Repeat selecting from all site specific tables:’ would take too long to do manually right? So I guess that this is something that would involve writing a script where one of the inputs would be the number of blogs you have on the network.

If so is there a script out there, or if our team writes one would it be useful to post it here?

I think it will help as a workaround if you can provide such a script.

I’ll add a reset (and uninstall) function to WP-Piwik soon. A new update is scheduled for this month.

Ok – we’ll probably just hang on for that update.

Thanks again for your work on this plug in. I think it really helps to support choice in logging in a flexible way. It’s good for the Internet!

WP-Piwik 0.9.2 containing the reset function will be available soon.
