  • I’m having the same problem and I’ve tried every possible route available.

I installed phpbb3 within my wordpress folder, so it would look like /wordpress/forums/. I also installed phpbb wp bridge plugin, then I added the phpbb wp user widget to the sidebar before activation. Once I activate phpbb wp bridge plugin, it will redirect me to the phpbb forums that I had set up. After putting in my login information, which is the same login for my wordpress admin login, it will redirect me back to my wordpress homepage. From the homepage, when I click to go to wp-admin through the phpbb wp bridge user widget, it will redirect me to the forums prompting me to log-in again. It shouldn’t redirect me to the forums when I chose to go to wp-admin section of my wordpress… but strangely it does this.

Due to my frustration, I decided to reinstall wordpress and everything, including forums. Did all the steps backwards and forwards, nothing works. It still redirects me to the forums like a manic. I have tried putting both wordpress and phpbb on the same mysql database, and also tried putting them on separate mysql databases. Nothing works, only more redirects.

Can someone help me out please? It appears that this is a common issue and there seems to be no solution or help from the developers. How do you expect us to donate or support you :/

Hello, You probably want to login with your phpbb3 admin and password since it’s now phpbb handling the logins. That’s how I am able to login. You wordpress admin and pass will not work when this plugin is installed.

Also, Make sure you are the Founder ( main admin ) of your forum before the integration process.

Oh been reading these forums. Apparently you should install the widget before activating the plugin in the settings. I didn’t think it mattered, but glad I did that anyway.
