• Firstly, I’d like to say that WP-PHOTO-ALBUM-PLUS is a great plug-in. I just have a suggestion, if I may:

Is it possible in a new version of wp-photo-album-plus that images that have been uploaded (and descriptions and titles etc have been added) that such images can be easily replaced/updated if need be. As it stands, if one wants to change an image, they have to upload another and copy and paste the text from the previous image. If there was a feature to easily replace an existing image in the same location, it would be very helpful.

    Thank you for reading.

You can update an existing photo using the Import Photos admin screen. This screen enables you to import photos from your personal wppa-depot directory. (You can see where that is as soon as you open the page while your depot is empty).

To get your photo there, do either one of the following 2 possibilities:

    1. Zip the photo and use the second dialog on the upload screen: Zipped photos.
Leave the checkbox checked: you will go to the import screen automaticly.
Run the import procedure once to get the photo unzipped.

    2. Use an FTP program to ftp the new photo to your depot dirtectory.

So, now your new version photo is in your personal depot directory.
You can now Import it and make sure the Update existing photos checkbox is checked. This will replace the old photo with the new version.

This procedure has the folowing prerequisites:
    1. The filename of the new version photo must be identical to the wppa+ namefield of the existing photo.
    2. The name of the photo may only occur once in the entire wppa+ system. (there may not be a second photo with the same name).

It looks more difficult than it is, but if you did it once you will love this procedure.
