    Hi!
Is there a way to link individual slides to an outside website using the sidebar widgets installation? I’m wanting to show 4 photos in a simple slider with each photo linked to a different off-site website (an e-commerce site). I apologise if I’ve overlooked this somewhere, but I’ve combed your “how-to” website and the forums and still don’t understand.

I’m using WP 3.4.1 and Graphene 1.7.3 (latest versions of each). I’m constructing a localhost install in Linux — sorry, no link. I also use Ultimate TinyMCE.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Photo Albums -> Settings page: Check Table VI-4d: Photo Specific Link Overrule on SlideWidget

Specify the links in Album Admin -> Edit -> Manage Photos: Link url and Link title (for the tooltip you want to show up on hovering the slide)

thanks @opajaap: looks like I had these settings right: what I did wrong was enter the link url starting w/ just www instead of starting with “https://www.” oh well! there is no end to how silly newbies can be, eh? thanks again!

(Side note: it would be a good selling point to your plug in if you were very direct about saying “individual slides can be linked to off site urls”. I was unclear if that were even possible. I can’t wait to get my blog going: I want to brag about how versatile your plug-in is, and how well it works with Ultimate TinyMCE and Graphene!)

There is a second problem to this same issue: not sure if I should start a new thread? I apologise in advance if that be the case — just let me know, so I’ll know next time.

Here’s the problem: I have 6 photos in this slider: links to the odd numbered photos work, links to the even numbered photos don’t. Set this up in two different machines, achieved the same results. Set up a second widget w/ 4 photos also, same results.

What should I be looking for? What other information do you need to know?

“individual slides can be linked to off site urls”.

Thanx, this info will be added to the featurelist in the plugin description.

The second problem was fixed though?

    No, this problem still exists:

“Here’s the problem: I have 6 photos in this slider: links to the odd numbered photos work, links to the even numbered photos don’t. Set this up in two different machines, achieved the same results. Set up a second widget w/ 4 photos also, same results.”

I don’t know enough about coding/html/ etc to begin to know what to look for. If you can offer some guidance, I can probably troubleshoot from there.

Please supply a lnk to the page that shows the problem.

I have discovered the problem. Will be fixed in the next version. In the mean time select a different animation type (Table IV-B4), not being a fadeing type and not being turnover (turnover has a problem in IE).

Eureka!!!!! It works! I switched it to “stack off” and the links instantly work — hooray! Awesome. Thanks Opajaap!

Very astute of you to assume that I was using the default transition effect still and find the problem — lol, I didn’t think yet to try out different transition effects to troubleshoot.

Anyhow, thanks sooooooooooo much for sticking with me and finding this glitch. Looking forward to your new release whenever you get there — it’ll be awesome! Woohoo — I’m so excited to see this working!
