[Plugin: WP Most Popular] Date ranges

  • Been testing this plugin which is useful for its simplicity but seems like the stats have a flaw. If a post is viewed 100 times yesterday but 0 times today then it will still register as having 100 views today because the stats are not updated until the next time a post is viewed.

    THis may not matter in most cases as post views are unlikely to drop off so dramatically but there needs to be an extra sql line which checks WHERE last_updated is within the specified date range

    I have also been adding extra db fields to store post categories as it is very useful to be able to filter most viewed by category
