By default, pages/posts are unblocked as the relevant boxes are unchecked in settings. I inputted custom field “block” with value of 1 and still cannot block specific pages. The pages are showing up unblocked with the login and registration forms after the content.

  • Sounds like you have “Show excerpts” turned on (which is the default installation). Double check this setting in the plugin options.

With “Show excerpts” on, you’ll need to use a ‘more’ tag to split the content on the page. (It’s showing all the content before the ‘more’ tag, and since there isn’t one, it’s showing all the content.) Hope that makes sense – it’s not really as confusing as it sounds when I read it back.

Alternatively, you can turn this setting off.

Thank you so much! It works now!

I’m having trouble with pages not being blocked, too. Here’s how I have it set up:

Pages are NOT blocked by default.
    Show excerpts is selected.

And on the page that has content that needs to be protected, I have this:

    This is an excerpt.
    <!–more–>
Below you will find forms and documents….

    Here’s the link: https://tinyurl.com/45c4x3o

I can’t figure out why I can still see the full page content even when not logged in. Do you have any ideas?

Looks like you have it working – I clicked through the link you posted and the page is blocked.

Yes, I got it working. I did some more searching and saw where you recommended to someone else with the same issue to use a custom field with block set to true.

Thank you SO much for responding. ??
