• This is a wonderful plugin. I am building a site where my media files are all mp3 files and this plugin handles them perfectly, unlike other “media” plugins I tried to use before. While I am new to the plugin, I have a few questions.

First, is it possible to alphabetize the Tag and Category listings if one chooses Tag Form under Search Format? I do not see this option available, though I do see it available for Tag Cloud. Now, my listings are listed by oldest-first. I don’t think visitors will understand this organization well. (Also, when tagging media initially, the tags and categories are also presented in this oldest-first order.)

Second, when a search is conducted for mp3s, most outputs have a large square image for each result that says simply “MP3” (because there’s no picture for an mp3). Could you tell me where to find this file so that I can substitute a smaller image? Also, could you tell me where to go to center the image rather than aligning it to the left?

Finally, just a suggestion — when search results are returned, at the top of the table on the left is “Gallery Itemized Titles” and on the right is “Results Display”. It might be better to reverse these, and perhaps add something like “Display Options: Gallery Itemized Titles”. I only suggest this because I was confused at first and a visitor, the first time he sees this, may be confused as well.

Thanks again for this great plugin. Five stars.

Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate.

    1) There is not automatic aphabetization possible for the tags listed in the search form. But : in the plugin administration panel > Media Tagger Options > Tag Groups : you can list the tags in any order you want, and why not by lexicographic order. For instance enter :

    Tag List = a_tag, b_tax, y_tag

listing all your tags from a to z (I hope you don’t have too many…). You can replace “Tag List” by anything else, the point is that today by default, if you don’t set any group, the tags are listed by creation date.

The feature you request makes sense. I just need some time to re-enter my code…

    2) This one is easier : go to your ftp web server, at :

    wp-content/plugins/wp-mediatagger/images/

You will find here all the default images used to iconize files like your MP3.

    3) although I spend A LOT of time on the usability, I did not notice this yet ! Although I think you are right. I should fix it in the next release, this is straightforward CSS.

Thanks for your response. Your solution to the alphabetizing problem works very well.

    I generated version 3.3.1.

    It features :

1- Alphabetical listing of the tags in the form if no group are defined to order tags

2- Search format and Result format header are now displayed on the LEFT of the setups (instead of right).

    Enjoy.
