[Plugin: WP Maintenance Mode] Message text will not update – reverts to default message

Using latest version of plugin with WP 3.42 and I cannot change the Title/Header/Heading/Text. I update after entering them but they keep going back to defaults when I refresh the page. I also have been unable to change the theme.
