[Plugin: WP Mail SMTP] Admin menu is not disabled as advertised

I read about Multisite on your website.
I was under the impression that the admin menu was AUTO disabled when I added the variables to the wp-config.php. Do I need to manually disable the hook in the code to get this to work? The admin page is still there, and the variables are in the config file
